Tate Charles Williams(3)proudly salutes the flag at Inland Cemetery near Bennett, Iowa.
Tate is the 3 year-old grandson of longtime Auxillary member Sharon Kleppe of Iowa City.

Each Memorial Day, Tate and his grandmother place a flag at the gravesite of his grandfather, Loren Kleppe, who was a sniper in the Marine Corps. As he looks at each photo, he describes each flag as a ‘papa’ flag,”  said Jacqueline.

Tate’s mother – Jacqueline Kleppe Williams – is also a member of the Auxillary and has played “Taps” for many  years at Memorial Day sevices and veterans funerals.
